The Opportunity

Are you a recently qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA) looking for career development, progression and variety?

There’s lots to get your teeth into – a balance of valuable routine reporting / accounting alongside interesting and rewarding projects.  It’s a continuous improvement setting where your ideas are welcoming and there is a constant investment in enhancement and a strive toward excellence.

You’ll also step into people management (managing the talented assistant financial accountant from the outset).

Your role will encompass: Site performance and KPI reporting, production of MI, management accounts prep and analysis, balance sheet reconciliation and cashflow forecasts, group reporting (valuable PLC exposure).

You’ll have the best of both worlds – a subsidiary of circa £100m turnover where you can have variety and opportunity to make change but within a FTSE 250 PLC which opens lots of career avenues and earning potential.

You need:

• To have be part qualified, qualified or QBE.
• To have previous experience of month end accounting, financial reporting and management accounts exposure.
• To have solid experience of Excel and diligent analytical ability.
• To be highly organised, proactive and someone who enjoys variety.
• To be a confident communicator, able to speak to colleagues across the business (finance and non finance areas).
• To be someone with natural attention to detail and highly conscientious approach.
