Job Description
Provide a full Finance & Accounting service to DAUK ensuring accurate accounting operations and the preparation and submission of Management & Statutory Accounts. Ensure compliance with all necessary legislative and regulatory requirements across all areas of Finance & Accounting.

  • Maintaining and developing all daily accounting operations
  • Preparing periodic Management Accounts along with fluctuation analysis and Management Information as required.
  • Preparing and submitting Statutory Accounts in line with legal, Company and Group requirements. Ensuring full communication and visibility with the DAUK Board.
  • Setting up and maintaining Financial controls to ensure compliance with all relevant external audit, tax, legislative and regulatory matters together with all internal audit, controls and standards.
  • Maintaining professional relationships with external third parties and internal functions both within DAUK, Daikin Europe and the Daikin Group.
  • Ensuring the correct calculation and processing of all company taxation including Corporation Tax, VAT etc
  • Involved in projects when required, in order to support the organisation, on accounting related matters.

The Successful Applicant

To be considered you will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with:

  • Ability to operate in a complex and dynamic structure with strong resilience and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Positive, flexible attitude with a can-do approach to solving problems.
  • Good knowledge of UK Finance & Accounting legislation and regulation, IFRS and UK GAAP. Also a strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulation in related areas such as audit and tax.
  • Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and SAP and high levels of attention to detail

What's on Offer

Salary of £48,000 - £55,000 and benefits that include 25 days holiday (with the option to buy and sell days), dental and private medical, discounted gym membership and 7% employer pension contribution if you contribute 2%
