What is the Divisional Financial Controller job about?

As  Divisional Financial Controller, you will take responsibility for the financial management of the procurement division of GPG as well as group shared services resource in finance.
 

As Divisional Financial Controller, what exactly will you do?

  • Take responsibility for ensuring that the financial processes, systems and controls are operating effectively.
  • Identify and project manage Finance change projects updating current processed and system to best practice.
  • Manage a department / transactional team of thirteen staff in sales ledger, purchase ledger, payroll, treasury, and management accounts.
  • Provide the Group Finance Director with timely accurate information relating to the division’s financial performance.
  • Manage annual audit process, liaising with the auditors to support the preparation of all divisional consolidated statutory accounts.
  • Budget preparation and all related monthly management reporting
  • Review and reporting of procurement consolidated cash position and forecasts.
  • Review of all management accounts packs
  • Handling VAT, PAYE and Tax duties, including corporation tax.
     

What we’re looking for

  • First time pass ACA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Technically adept with attention to detail, whilst remaining a strategic thinker..
  • Exceptional team and staff management background
  • Excellent communicator and team builder
  • Change agent with strong project management skills
  • Proven ability of working under pressure
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
  • Experience in a similar level role
