Your new role
Working as part of a high quality finance team, your new management accountant job will involve the following duties :

* Analysing and reporting on the company's financial performance against budget & forecast
* Preparing financial statements (TB, P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow)
* Financial forecasts and models
* Working with budget holders to ensure spend is well managed and accurately reflected in the financial statements.
* Supporting the month end close routines to ensure the financial statements accurately reflect all assets and liabilities (including accruals, prepayments, revenue recognition, inter-company accounting).
* Development of accounting processes to drive efficiencies in management accounts production and month end reporting
* Developing and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations
* Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
* Assisting with the annual audit
* Support the implementation of new systems and processes

There are two roles available in this team and you will have an opportunity to focus on systems or group reporting, depending on where your strengths are.

Internal stakeholders include technology and software professionals as well as commercially focused colleagues. Reporting to a Finance Director your your new role will be viewed as a highly important and key appointment.


What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will be ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified - individuals on the qualification journey or qualified b experience will also be considered
Advanced Excel skills as well as experience of (or appetite to engage with) financial modelling highly beneficial
Ability to bring new ideas to the table, with a improvement mindset also required
