Tax Analyst working in large UK based tax function in both direct and in direct tax
Your new company
Your new company are a well known and established international chemical manufacturing business. With operations across the world, their UK headquarters is based in the heart of Cheshire with good links to Warrington, Chester, Northwich and other parts of the North West. A central tax team of 5 is based in this UK office supporting global financial operations. Due to an internal move they are now looking to bring in a new Tax Analyst to working closely with the two regional heads of tax.
Your new role
A unique and varied role, working as a Tax Analyst you will be supporting your new employer with a range of global tax duties. You will sit across two teams supporting the business with both corporate tax and VAT work across the group. You will be compiling and analysing tax data supporting the teams with tax compliance work, helping create and submit tax computations/returns. Within this role you will also support with group wide reporting, providing various tax reports and VAT reconciliations. As you get more experienced you will also get the opportunity to work specialist tax advisory projects across the UK and wider business.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you could come from a tax background, having spent a year or two working in a similar tax role either in-house or in a practice environment. You could also come from a more traditional accounts background having worked in a supporting accountancy and finance role. You must be able to follow process and be diligent when it comes to report writing and analytical tasks.
