Qualified ACA ACCA senior audit accounts portfolio manager dynamic accountancy practice in Wimborne

You will be working for a small dynamic practice reporting directly to the partners.

You will be working for a firm that works slightly differently to a traditional practice in that they don't work by departments. They have portfolio managers who act for a portfolio of clients, the complexity of which can vary tremendously, so as a portfolio manager here you will be working in conjunction with the directors doing everything that the client needs, which will include audits (35-40%), accounts, and potentially some corporate tax/personal tax. Generally "if its in your portfolio you deal with it" and you almost work like a 'mini' partner.

The successful person will be ACA or ACCA qualified, ideally with at least 5 years post qualification experience, with the ability to do audit and accounts work and have enough about them to take a role in the Practice Management as time progresses. Depending on the person, this could be reviewing of training team or to actually be a Director one day.

The partners are looking for a "commercial accountant" with good planning skills with extensive experience of managing a client portfolio with accountancy practice. By "commercial" they mean someone brave enough to give advice on a client's commercial options. Additionally, because the team are all actively encouraged to engage with their clients, this person must be an excellent communicator both over email/phone and in person. This is a role for someone who is prepared to go beyond the norm, who in return will receive all the support they need to succeed in this .

You will receive a very competitive salary salary and hybrid working, along with a number of benefits to include a parking permit, private medical insurance and auto enrolment pension after probationary period. There is also a bonus scheme for which you would be eligible. The office hours are 8 to 5 and they never work on Christmas Eve!

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who really wants to push their career forward and who thoroughly enjoys client care/management. All in all this makes for a very interesting job and your portfolio will be tailored in its content to suit your skill set and preferences.
