Marks Sattin are working in partnership with a reputable and well known organisation in Leamington Spa to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant on a 18 month FTC. The position will be a hybrid working role, with 2-3 days working in the offices.

The Senior Financial Accountant will report to and assist the Head of Financial Reporting in ensuring the timely and accurate completion of the Group's statutory reporting requirements. The Senior Financial Accountant will also ensure that robust controls are embedded.


Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Accountant will be:

  • To assist with the preparation of the Group's consolidated Interim and Year end reporting requirements and the statutory reporting requirements of the entities within the group
  • To ensure the integrity and accuracy of the numbers in-line with IFRS and FRS 102 requirements.
  • To establish and maintain effective relationships with teams that input into the statutory reporting process, i. audit and tax advisors
  • To identify and implement process and control efficiencies to further streamline the reporting cycles.
  • To ensure audit deliverables are provided in a timely manner and escalating arising issues to management.
  • To ensure the organisations compliance, statutory compliance and Governance Policies are adhered to.


To be considered you must:

  • Be a qualified accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
  • Have experience within a statutory reporting function
  • Have experience in a statutory reporting role, demonstrating good knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Have good communication skills with the ability to deal with a variety of stakeholders, i. audit and tax
  • Have advanced analytical skills
  • Have detailed knowledge of Microsoft Excel including formula and pivot tables
  • Be able to proactively identify opportunities to strengthen or enhance current processes and controls and be actively involved in promoting best practice
  • Have good presentation skills
