Group Financial Controller

A leading hospitality business are looking for their next Group Financial Controller due to internal promotion of the incumbent.  This is an all-encompassing unique role which will ultimately prepare you for CFO status. This role will be the No 2 to the CFO and a pivotal role supporting on strategic initiatives and the direction of the business.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing a team of 10 including 4 direct reports
• Direct the teams completion of a number of UK statutory accounts and one for an overseas entity
• Business partnering with senior stakeholders including the CEO on strategic projects and day to day objectives
• Take a lead role in driving the delivery of financial analysis; supporting quarterly business meetings with investors
• Responsible for ensuring the group is compliant with the full range of applicable taxes
• Manage the relationships with banks and cash collection partners

What we are looking for:

• Qualified Accountant (ideally ACA from an audit background)
• PQE in industry; the hospitality/leisure space being most desirable
• Previous and strong experience managing a team with successful results
• Group exposure to multiple entities is advantageous but not ideal
