We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to lead and develop the finance function of the company. There will be 2 direct reports and there will be opportunity to develop and progress in the role over their next stage of growth.

What we are looking for you to do/key responsibilities:
- Leading, managing, and developing the finance function of the Company
- Reviewing, maintaining and continuously improving financial systems, controls and processes
- Working as part of the Management Team to support operational growth and efficiencies
- Managing month-end cut off for invoicing both in and out
- Maintaining accurate stock records to facilitate orders and reconciliation of materials.
- Producing monthly cashflow statements and standard P&L & BS print from SAGE with TB
- Developing and monitoring financial and non-financial KPI’s with MD, including variance analysis
- Balance sheet accounts reconciliations
- Calculation of commissions and bonuses and run payroll
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and managing payment to HMRC
- Preparation of monthly sales reports for the MD
- Onboarding new starts, including preparation of contracts and offer letters
- Assisting external accountants with annual statutory accounts
- Deputising for other Department Heads when absent and completing other reasonable tasks as the company may require from time to time.
- 2 – 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within a service sector
- CIMA/ACCA fully or part-qualified or qualified by experience
- Thorough understanding of management accounts and month end procedures
- Proven ability of meeting deadlines
- Excellent IT skills, especially Excel
- Experience in SAGE Line 50 essential
- Good analytical skills and the ability to challenge, when required
- Good communication skills, attention to detail and a desire to learn
- Pro-active, flexible and adaptable
- Ability to manage multiple priorities to their deadlines
- Self-motivated and autonomous worker
