Finance Manager | Manchester city centre (2 days minimum) | £55,000 - £65,000 | PE backed 

Axon Moore have exclusively partnered with an exciting PE backed business in Manchester city centre who have created a new role in their team for a qualified Finance Manager This role has been created due to phenomenal growth on the back of private-equity investment and acquisitions. 

You will oversee a £60m t/o division within the Group and the scope of this role will grow over time as you develop your skills and experience but some of your key responsibilities include: 

 

  • Oversee the production of the monthly management accounts
  • Adhering and making sure the division abides to the month end timetable
  • Reviewing and analysing both revenue and costs to support accuracy of accounts, including reviewing commentary and investigation into variances
  • Reviewing the divisional balance sheet reconciliations
  • Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and systems
  • Integrate the management accounting function across the group and streamline processes
  • Reviewing VAT Returns
  • Production and posting of technical accounting areas 
  • Reviewing Budgeting, forecasting and reporting for internal and external stakeholders produced by the management accounts team
  • Reviewing consolidated invoice journals/prepayments/accruals and various other month end journals
  • Ensuring all regulatory reporting and compliance is completed and relevant deadlines met
  • Lead future recruitment within the divisional management accounts team

Person specification: 

 

 

  • Fully qualified accountant with 2-3 years PQE 
  • Previous experience managing / leading a team 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong internal relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues.
  • Strong organisation skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines and to prioritise workloads
