Our client is a market leading Private Equity backed Software (SaaS) and Analytics business which is currently on a phenomenal growth trajectory. With an 85% increase in revenue last year, their turnover currently stands at £34m and is forecasted to reach £54m by the end of the year. Our client is a global business with offices in 10 countries (more than half of which have been opened in the last 12 months), with more new launches imminent.

To sustain the momentum of their global expansion, there is an urgent requirement to strengthen the Finance Team with the recruitment of an ambitious high calibre qualified finance professional who will act as No. 2 to the Head of Finance.  You must be on a similar career trajectory to that of my client but with the headroom to grow even further to fully support the lofty ambitions of this Private Equity backed business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading and developing the finance team on a day-to-day basis, this includes team members based internationally.

  • Supporting local statutory reporting requirements, including preparing and filing of all local annual statutory accounts.
  • Scoping out and implementing robust accounting systems and processes to drive efficiencies and mitigate risks where possible through the utilisation of automation.
  • Ensure that all revenue is recognised correctly in line with IFRS 15.
  • Managing all transfer pricing activity (provided by an external advisor but calculated in house) and R&D tax claims.
  • New market entry: Setting up new banking relationships and accounts; Identifying and onboarding local Accountants and Tax Advisors.
  • Drafting technical accounting papers for new IFRS standards and communicating changes across the group.
  • Supporting the implementation of a new ERP system – defining processes at the project planning stage and implementing processes and controls post migration.
  • Ensuring that all deliverables are prepared on time and to the highest standard.
  • Managing the external audit relationships on all operational matters.

Experience:

  • A Chartered Accountant (Big 4 background a preference) with large, international business experience.
  • Used to operating in a face paced changing environment.
  • A strong leadership profile, excellent people management and mentoring skills (multi-location).
  • A skilled communicator and negotiator, used to managing key stakeholder relationships (internal and external).
  • System implementation and processing improvement expertise.
  • Demonstrable experience of key decision making.
  • An understanding of debt leverage and covenants management would be beneficial.
