AAT Qualified or Part-Qualified to assist in Management Accountant for a leading professional business.

Your new company
This forwarding thinking professional service organisation are seeking an ambitious AAT Qualified or Part Qualified Management Accountant to assist the business with a varied suite of financial reports.

Your new role
The key aspects of your duties as an Assistant Management Accounts will involve supporting the wider finance team with the preparation of their annual budgets and monthly management accounts. This will involve managing the financial data of each division of the group and using your analytical skills to produce the reports which will include expenditure reports vs budget and comments on variances as well as monthly re-forecasting by working with the operational teams across the region.

You will also prepare financial business performance reports for each individual branch and business stream to manage an accurate cash flow report for the Senior Management Team and reconcile the balance sheet. This will also involve managing the practice-management system to ensure on-going operational and project-costs are monitored enabling the team to re-charge items.

As the Assistant Management Accountant you will undertake your normal reporting duties covering, accruals, prepayments, payroll journals, reconciliation of the control accounts, fixed asset register, VAT returns and other ad-hoc financial duties for other subsidiary companies in the group as well as rent and service charges.

What you'll need to succeed
This is a varied and challenging role in a fast-pace service related business and our client will expect you to have a formal qualification from at least AAT Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant who has a logical and systematic approach to your tasks.

As explained the key aspects of the role will require you to have experience of supporting in the production of management and statutory reporting, budgeting, forecasting, strong analytical skills along with confident communication skills to interact with all levels of the business.

It will be expected you will have a good level of Excel, have a consultative and collaborative working style as the business encourages self-development and working as a team.

The organisation offers a generous benefits package with a salary range of £35,000 - £40,000 for this role depending on experience, bonus scheme, pension with an option to salary sacrifice, 5-weeks holiday and other flexible benefits.
