Management Accountant

Based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire our award-winning client are looking for a Management Accountant to join their growing team on a permanent basis. This will be a hybrid working role with 2/3 days in the office per week.

This job would suit an ACA/ACCA/CIMA part qualified accountant who will have a broad and varied remit, including all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the finance reporting function

This is a hands on role with responsibility for the company reporting, data analysis and forecasting to internal managers, maintaining close control of the balance sheet and P&L.

The company are going through a fantastic period of growth and 2023 looks to be a record breaking year with multiple subsidiaries within the business. If you have experience in financial reporting and controls in medium to large sized business this is beneficial.

The successful individual will have proven experience within a finance team across all aspects of the function, with a proven track record in a high growth environment. They will have excellent communication skills and will be able to influence and communicate across all levels of the business. Previous experience in financial reporting and controls in a medium to large size business would be beneficial.

Job responsibilities:

Support the team implement a strong culture of balance sheet discipline ensuring reconciliations are carried out regularly and action points are completedSupport the month end close process including prepayments and accruals ensuring postings are accurate and timelyMaintain high standards of reporting accuracy across the P&L and Balance Sheet to ensure entries are posted correctly and assist the FP&A team with any queries as and when neededHandle ad hoc queries regarding the management and statutory accountsDrive strong process improvement across the finance function, identifying areas of weakness and ensuring new processes are adhered toBuild strong working relationships across the business, gaining acceptance as a highly collaborative and results oriented professionalSupport other business functions with customer related queries ensuring that they are supported with the necessary financial guidance necessary to give guests an amazing experience
