Salary: £40,000 depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

• Provide support to budget owners in all financial aspects such as budgeting, understanding their actuals, forecast updates plus identification and management of risks and opportunities as part of the monthly reporting process
• Provide support to budget owners to build up Integrated Business Plan (IBP) (5 year business plan) to ensure output is robust with suitable challenge and all risk & opportunities are considered
• Support colleagues with communicating annual charges to other BAE Systems business groups
• Support the billing and debt management of the service
• Focus on maintaining and improving financial controls
• Identify opportunities to drive continuous improvement

Your skills and experiences:

• ACCA or CIMA part qualified
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong communication skills, with experience of dealing with a variety of internal & external stakeholders at different levels in the organisation, in particular non-finance colleagues
• Previous experience supporting budget holders
• Self-starter and able to work independently
• Inquisitive and challenging mindset with strong analytic skills
• Prior experience of SAP desirable

The Team:

An opportunity has arisen to support the Shared Services FP&A Cost Performance team. Shared Services business supports the enterprise in areas such as Business Support, IT services, Real Estate, Procurement amongst others. This role is placed within the Real Estate function of the FP&A team.

Within the finance function, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) teams are responsible for leading the delivery of high quality and forward-looking financial analysis and insights to the business. Bringing together FP&A experts from across the UK footprint, they are the primary points of contact into business Finance Directors and provide crucial insights on the key business and financial performance.
