Are you a passionate music lover with a keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills? We are seeking a Finance Support Specialist to join our dynamic team and provide support to our Finance Managers. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for recording revenue, cost of sales and supporting monthly/quarterly reporting. You will work with a mid-sized accounts department and manage work for a large number of legal entities. You'll need to bring your A-game to consistently meet deadlines and think outside the box to simplify and improve processes.

 

What You'll Be Doing.

  • Process cash match entries for all companies within the UK group – royalty system.
  • Work with withholding tax applications and update WHT portal to make sure we're operating efficiently.
  • Reconcile bank statements and liaise with masters and publishing royalties team to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with royalty reconciliation process to help our artists get paid.
  • Continually simplify and improve processes - let's shake things up!
  • Process receipts through FEBA (bank) on SAP.
  • Reconcile balance sheets and prepare VAT returns, EC Sales, and other HMRC returns.
  • Book monthly revenue and cost of sales.
  • Prepare monthly P&L for our production music catalogue.
  • Produce appropriate reports on a periodic basis.
  • Journal entry and reconciliations.
  • Assist the Manager - Finance, Senior Manager - Finance and other stakeholders as required and show us what a team player you are.  

 

Who You Are.

  • Experience in a mid-sized accounts department.
  • Currently studying (or prepared to begin studying) towards an accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage work for a large number of legal entities.
  • Methodical and organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Passion for music - of course!
