Hays are working exclusively with this private equity backed, growing business in Walsall. Working within the service sector they have had a strong performance over the past 2 years and have an exciting forecast for the year ahead.

Your new role

The job of the Management Accountant is a varied and progressive one. This SME business has a small team of 4 accounts staff and this role will involve;

• Production of monthly management accounts
• Management of bank accounts and cash balances
• Assisting in preparation of budgets and cash flows

• Management and supporting of all accounts functions to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
• Month end accounting
• Managing debtor balances in order to ensure that all debtors liabilities have been calculated correctly
• Liaising with Payroll Lead to ensure monthly returns are submitted in a timely manner
• Liaising and producing data for Inland Revenue - PAYE and NI
• Providing support to the Management Team as and when necessary.

What really makes this role exciting is the progression it involves. The business are ideally looking for an individual that can progress, over time, in to the Finance Manager position, which will involve the supervision of the finance team as well as making recommendations to support and improve the business performance.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will be studying towards, or have completed, a finance qualification. They will be happy working in an SME business and looking to progress their career within the finance field.
