THIS ROLE IS A 12 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT

The Procurement Team manage a significant proportion of the total easyJet external spend which in FY19 was £2.5 Billion per annum, covering Customer, Operations (including Ground Handling), Commercial, Business, Corporate, Finance, People, Fuel and IT functions. The Lead Procurement Manager for Fuel reports to the Director of Procurement.

This exciting role is a huge opportunity for someone to come in, put a mark on it and really make it their own! You’ll have the opportunity to create the strategy, develop supplier management and play a key part in how we solve it across the business. Delivering against the business wide strategy by driving innovation and working in an ever changing environment is how you’ll do it! The Lead Procurement Manager is allocated the portfolio of spend for Fuel for which you’ll produce and deliver a Procurement Category Plan – in order to deliver this, you will be required to complete spend and market analysis, stakeholder and supplier engagement plans, lead full tender processes including template drafting both for existing contracts and new requirements, and support management of supplier relationships to ensure that easyJet receive best value from its expenditure. You will work closely with our Fuel Supply Chain Manager and take an active role in the supplier management for the strategic suppliers in your category – whilst ensuring this aligns with the business strategy and priorities! The role gives you fantastic exposure across the business, as you’ll partner with the category Director and senior stakeholders where you’ll analyse and interpret easyJet’s supplier spend behaviour and develop appropriate tender and contract processes and instil best in class procurement processes within the team  – being passionate about our mission to make travel easy and affordable and of course the procurement initiatives to support this.

What you need to do the role

To do this role you need fuel procurement/category management experience (preferably in aviation/transport/logistics) and the ability to actively seek opportunities to drive value and cost savings from easyJet’s supply chain, by influencing a range of key internal stakeholders to support and buy in to chosen strategy and promote procurement. You need to be a strategic thinker with the aptitude to understand market dynamics & create innovative solutions / category plans – also understanding complex specifications and contract scopes. We’re looking for a self starter - displaying determination and drive, with a tenacity to deliver to the bottom line with good business acumen with the capability to complete end to end robust competitive tender process. Understanding of revenue and how 3rd party contracts support the improvement of revenue including new revenue streams is an absolute must!

LOCATION & HOURS OF WORK

This full-time role will be based in Luton (Hybrid working) and will be 40 hours per week. Remember, we are always #happytotalkflex.
