Financial Accountant

Hays are recruiting for a long standing financial services client to recruit a Financial Accountant

Your new company
Based here in Bristol, and forming the head office for their global operations, the finance team here are split across commercial, transactional and financial accounting. This role sits in their Financial Control team and would be a great opportunity for someone with a background in audit and or financial controls.

Your new role
Reporting into the Head of Finance, this role is key in the delivery of month end processes, reporting into group and preparing statutory financial statements for a geographical region within their portfolio. This role will include:

• Preparing half year and year end reporting packs
• Maintaining controls in the reporting process and suggesting areas for improvement.
• Contributing to regional and group projects and supporting their transformation process.
• Participating in statutory accounts under local GAAP and providing reports for local subsidiaries,

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant, ideally with audit experience or strong accounting skills. Ideally you will have working knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards along with an understanding of basic controls in reporting. You should have a good knowledge of Microsoft office.
