Our Finance Fuel & Strategy team plays a key part in this, without our expert team who are responsible for accounting circa £2bn of fuel cost, we wouldn’t be where we are today!
This exciting role at easyJet ensures that the business requirements are met throughout the network in terms of continuous and cost-effective supplies of Jet fuel and future alternative fuels. This is done by supporting direct negotiation with our suppliers and traders and always achieving cost improvement on fuel cost.

At easyJet our plan is to be NetZero by 2050 – this role plays a key part in achieving that by guaranteeing we meet our future sustainability targets through alternative fuels, and by supporting  the development and forming of future fuel strategy and policy - such as future alternative fuel options, fuel efficiency initiatives, and changes in future policy and regulation, whilst working cross functionally with Central Procurement, Finance and wider Operational functions across 150 airports in the network to ensure continuity of supply.

Reporting into the Senior Manager for Fuel Strategy and ESG, you will be responsible for maintaining, preserving, establishing and improving our supplier relationships. You’ll will be responsible for managing the day to day relationship with our suppliers in terms of future strategy, be the subject matter expert supporting procurement through competitive tender process with fuel suppliers, managing the day to day fuelling operation, forecasting/planning of fuel requirements, resolving any challenges that arise and ensuring fuelling/de-fuelling safety procedure compliance.

What you need to do the role
To do to this role you need excellent negotiation skills, and the proven ability of building strong relationships. Strong analytical skills are required – having the ability to identify, instigate and drive through change is an absolute must.
You will influence at all levels both internally and externally – previous experience of oil/oil related commodity purchasing, and logistics is an absolute bonus!

Location & Hours of Work

This full-time role will be based in Luton (hybrid) and will be 40 hours per week./p>
