Job Description
 

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop, implement and monitor the financial plans and budgets of the organisation, providing analysis and recommendations to improve profitability and manage risk.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including financial statements, management reports, and regulatory filings.
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage the organisation's cash flow, forecasting and monitoring cash flow requirements to ensure sufficient liquidity and timely payment of debts.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks, including credit risk, market risk, and operational risk, ensuring that appropriate controls are in place to mitigate these risks.
  • Taxation: Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, managing the tax planning and reporting processes for the organisations.
  • Accounting Operations: Oversee the accounting operations of the organisation, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
  • Audit and Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and external regulatory requirements, managing the internal and external audit processes for the organisation.
  • Financial Strategy: Work with senior management to develop financial strategies that support the long-term goals of the organisation, including mergers and acquisitions, capital investment, and debt management.

The Successful Applicant

As a financial controller at Ardex, you would play a critical role in managing the financial operations of the Haverhill plant. You would be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis. You would also work closely with other members of the management team to develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency's and maximise profitability.

In addition to your financial responsibilities, you would also be expected to demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills. You would need to be able to effectively collaborate with other departments within the plant and across the global Ardex organisation.

Given the importance of the role, we require the successful candidate to be:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • 2+ years in a similar role
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Manufacturing experience (non negotiable)
