Your new company
Our client currently has an exciting newly created job for a Financial Planning Analyst, where you will have the opportunity to provide finance support and MI across all areas of the business, to support decision making & the delivery of financial targets. You will be joining a dynamic business, as they continue to go through an exciting phase of growth, extending their service offerings to clients. This is a 6 month contract but does have the possibility of becoming a permanent role for the right individual. You will be primarily based from home (3 days a week) and working in collaboration with the team in Salisbury (2 days a week). They are offering a great package, including competitive salary, performance related bonus, great pension, 26 days holiday, buy/sell up to 5 days holiday, etc.

Your new role
This is an important role where you will work with senior finance business partners and the management team to provide relevant MI to support strategic decision making and ultimately financial performance.

  • You will supporting on the delivery of month end and reforecast cycles, including variance analysis to support commentary and producing analysis packs for board papers and presentations.
  • You will be comfortable with financial modelling to prepare accurate cost analysis, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
  • You will work collaboratively with finance business partners, supporting with ad hoc reporting and head office costs.
  • You will have a continuous improvement mindset and will challenge processes/procedures to drive efficiency within a strong internal control environment.
  • You will ensure the accuracy of reporting, through strong data management (looking after mapping tables, data structures etc).

What you'll need to succeed

  • You will be curious and analytical, with excellent Excel and financial modelling skills, using Excel & BI Tools.
  • You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to convey financial and commercial data to a range of stakeholders.
  • You will be a part (or fully) qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) or be qualified-by-experience (where you have significant relevant financial modelling experience).
  • Able to juggle multiple tasks and manage various priorities to meet deadlines.
