Financial Controller for a niche Media and Entertainments business based in South West Birmingham.

Hays are delighted to be partnering with a leading media and events company who are market leaders in their field and work with an enviable client list. The company are based in South West Birmingham and work full time in the office.

Your new role
We are looking for a Qualified Financial Controller to replace the exiting Financial Controller and report into the UK CFO. This will manage a team of 5 and assume full responsibility for the day to day control of the finance team. This is a hands on all round role and involves full production of the monthly management accounts, financial accounts preparation. You will also be the main point of contact for the auditors at year end. Other duties will include VAT returns, overseas foreign currency payments. There are also commercial aspects to the role looking at the various contracts and ensuring they are commercially viable.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a fully Qualified hands on SME Finance Manager or Controller who enjoys managing and leading a team.
