Your new company

A top UK practice is looking for a trainee candidate to joint their Wokingham office.
This role would suit a candidate with some existing practice experience who is studying towards their AAT.

Your new role

As a recent school/college leaver working as an Bookkeeping and Accounts Trainee role in our Wokingham office, you will be assisting the partners and associate partners in the management and delivery of bookkeeping and accounts preparation services for our Owner Managed Business Client portfolio with the below key tasks being carried out.

  • Prepare income and expense analysis using the firm's cloud bookkeeping software
  • Use this data to prepare quarterly VAT returns
  • Processing supplier and debtor's invoices
  • Balancing accounts
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Monitoring aged listings
  • Preparing for and conducting client visits
  • Reconcile purchase, sales and general ledger entries
  • Bank analysis and reconciliation
  • Make postings using the firm's accounting and working papers software
  • Preparation and assistance with personal tax returns
  • Preparation and assistance with corporate tax returns
  • Assistance with annual P11D forms

Other:

  • Prepare returns and other documents for filing with Companies House or HM Revenue and Customs as instructed
