Transactional Finance Manager

Axon Moore are exclusively working with an exciting retail business in Accrington, to recruit an experienced Transactional Finance Manager. Due to continued success of the organisation they are recruiting this role on a permanent basis into their established and vibrant team, this is a fantastic opportunity for a inspiring and strong leader to manage the transactional finance function in a rapidly growing company.

Reporting into two high calibre mentors; the Financial Controller and CFO, the successful candidate will primarily be responsible for handling the day to day financial transactions within the company, looking after the AP and AR team. Therefore, the ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate first-hand experience of mentoring, developing and giving direction.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Day to day management of the team of five
• Maintain ledgers and systems for all group trading companies including overseas subsidiaries
• Ensure all month end procedures are completed to produce accurate company and cost centre trial balances
• Maintain the accounting ledgers and systems for all group trading companies including overseas subsidiaries with responsibility for ensuring accurate trial balances are produced each month.
• Ensure bank reconciliations intercompany reconciliations are completed
• Ensure appropriate reporting of prepayments and accruals
• Ensure all stock reconciliations and journals are accurately completed
• Oversight to ensure the accurate reporting within the daily sales report
• Preparation of quarterly VAT reports for all group trading companies and submission of VAT returns.
• Such other tasks as to ensure the efficient and timely operation of the finance function.
