We are working with a Consumer Technology business on the cutting edge of innovation who are looking for a talented Group Financial Controller to join their high performing team. This is a full-time, office-based position.

As Group Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial success and strategic growth. Working closely with the executive team and reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of financial operations at a group level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the group's financial reporting (under IFRS), ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making processes and identify areas for growth and optimization.
  • Develop and implement robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Manage the group's cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions to optimize liquidity and support business growth.
  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams, providing financial guidance and support to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Stay updated with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ideally ACA) with a strong academic background.
  • Proven experience as an SME Financial Controller  or larger company Finance Manager, within a fast-paced and high-growth environment (ideally within Tech businesses).
  • Extensive knowledge of financial management, reporting, and analysis.
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial controls.
  • Experience in leading and managing finance teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive mind-set with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-changing environment.
