Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for providing financial support including budgeting, forecasting, planning, financial reporting and VAT returns.

My client are a family owned business based on the outskirts of Bristol.
Description
- Ensure sound financial management and control of the company's business.
- Monitor existing processes and controls within the business, evaluating areas of development.
- Build collaborative relationships with members of the finance team.
- Develop and maintain existing financial reporting.
- Produce weekly and monthly management information for the Board.
- Manage the annual budgeting cycle.
- Interpret financial reports and provide explanations to senior management.
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns to HMRC.
- In conjunction with the CFO, manage the year-end audit process.
- Ensure all financial statutory requirements are met.
- Provide support in the development of new opportunities and improvement projects.
Profile
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Experience of managing a team
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Confident in strategic decision making
- A self starter who is able to use their initiative and think outside the box
