Our client is a leading Professional services firm with offices across the UK.   They are currently looking to recruit a Credit Controller join their team in Oxford. 

The Role of Credit Controller:  HYBRID

You will be supporting the Finance Manager and Finance Director by covering the credit control function, along with a variety of other financial duties.

Key Responsibilities & duties include:

  • Ensure credit control across the practice is carried out
  • Ensure debts collected
  • Allocate income received into all bank accounts against outstanding sales invoices on sales ledger
  • Provide monthly updates for circulation to the management team on outstanding debts
  • Check bank accounts daily and pay any cheques received into a local HSBC branch
  • Process approved purchase invoices
  • Maintain purchase ledger accounts and ensure balances are checked and reconciled
  • Run accounts payable report
  • Check and post expense claims
  • Prepare fortnightly proposed payment runs
  • Process approved expenses payment runs
  • Review and post approved timesheets
  • Reconcile and post petty cash balances for regional offices
  • Deal with any general supplier queries
  • Work as a team with administration staff
  • Contribute to the development of financial systems
  • Fulfil any other responsibilities, or complete any ad hoc projects
  • Completion of monthly bank recs for GBP and currency accounts
  • Review, calculation and posting of accruals and prepayment journals
  • Minute taking during meetings and circulation in a timely manner

The Candidate for Credit Controller

  • Credit control experience in a B2B environment
  • Good knowledge of Financial Systems
