The Company - Axon Moore are recruiting a Trainee Management Accountant for a well-established and growing international company based Thirsk. Since incorporation, they have gone from strength to strength and have worked hard to establish an excellent experience for all employees and customers. They are now seeking an Trainee Accountant to join the team who is keen to learn in the role and pursue CIMA.
About the role - The purpose of this role is to learn in the role while studying CIMA. The business will offer excellent training and exposure to international growth and acquisitions, making it the ideal opportunity on the route to qualification. The role offers a clear progression path for a Trainee Management accountant to become an exam qualified Management Accountant as well as gaining the practical hands-on experience needed to thrive in their Finance career.
Salary & Benefits - £24,000 to £28,000 depending on experience and qualification, full CIMA study support, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, 10% contribution pension, health benefits

Main Duties
- You will be the Financial Controllers right hand providing support in the day-to-day finance operations and processes whilst ensuring the efficient delivery of finance information. This will give you the practical experience needed to succeed in your CIMA studies as well as giving you the tools needed to progress within the business.
- Chasing and reporting outstanding invoices
- Processing bank payments
- Processing invoices
- Allocation of payments
- Producing bi-weekly statements
- Monthly reconciliations
- Updating the fixed asset register
- Expenses
Person specification
- A ‘Can-do’ attitude
- Ability to perform under pressure
- The ambition to become a qualified Accountant
- Prior experience in an accounting role
- Knowledge of finance systems
- Excellent keyboard skills to produce accurate and well-presented reports
