This is a newly created role, working for a growing, established business on the outskirts of Maidenhead. My client requires an experienced interim Finance Systems Manager to join their award winning business initially for 3 months. Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with the Finance Team, along with IT, Project Managers, Procurement and HR, as well as the wider team, you will be responsible for a variety of responsibilities and bring to the business a flair for systems, as well as training and ensuring the systems are used efficiently and effectively.

The Interim Finance Systems Manager will:

  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of financial systems
  • Oversee financial reporting systems
  • Ensure appropriate maintenance and usage of the existing financial systems and to train any new starters
  • Define the finance systems strategy, agree with stakeholders any action plans needed for training, as well as planning to inception
  • Act as a central point of expertise with regards to financial systems.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and wider teams, with the maintenance and improvement of the existing system
  • Lead and drive overall operating performance within the business
  • Monitoring performance across all teams, and providing insights which will add value to drive improvements in terms of cost, quality and productivity.
  • Liaise with the business and finance colleagues to understand any financial system requirements and outcomes/solutions
  • Provide the executive board any analysis and recommendations to drive continuous improvement in particular areas
  • Carry out an analysis of current financial systems to ensure that they are effective and efficient and are able to deliver business objectives with the appropriate levels of control
  • Identify any appropriate solutions with input from relevant department managers
  • Create any business cases and project plan for any new ideas

This is a 3 month role, with a high potential for extension, that would suit a specialist interim individual who can lead from the front, and utilise your existing Finance Systems skills. This role sits outside IR35 and our client offers hybrid working (2-3 days per week in the office).
