Assistant Management Accountant

Our client, a reputable company based in Deal, Kent, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as an Assistant Management Accountant.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the management accountant in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Conducting regular variance analysis and providing recommendations to improve financial performance.
• Supporting month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Assisting with the preparation of financial reports and presentations for management.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure its accuracy.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of internal controls and financial policies.
• Conducting financial analysis and research to support decision-making processes.
• Assisting with the preparation of tax filings and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Participating in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is a plus.
