A highly regarded and prominent firm of Chartered Accountants with multiple offices across the Cheshire, North Wales & Shropshire region are seeking an experienced ACA / ACCA qualified accountant to join their Corporate Services Team in their Northwich office as a Portfolio Manager. This opportunity has arisen due to new business wins and is a great opportunity for an ambitious accountant looking to progress their career. This firm are currently conducting interviews remotely via video call.


Your new role
As a Portfolio Manager you will assist the director with the delivery of accounting services to a portfolio of clients under the audit threshold. Predominantly dealing with well established owner managed businesses and SMEs you will be responsible for the preparation and review of statutory accounts, corporation tax computations and monthly management accounts alongside supervising and training junior staff. You will be at the forefront of the client relationship - dealing with client queries, offering ad hoc due diligence and management consultancy services and leading client meetings. You will be responsible for managing your workload and ensuring a high level of client service is provided.

What you'll need to succeed
The firm are seeking an ACA / ACCA qualified accountant who has developed post qualified experience, ideally within a general practice and has experience operating in a client facing capacity. You must be confident liaising with both clients and your peers and also have good organisational skills. The firm are looking for commercially astute and ambitious accountants who are looking to progress their career.
