Financial Controller

My client, based in central Manchester, is a fast growing B2B Capital Product Sales/Rental SME.

This highly successful profitable owner managed business, currently t/o £15m, is poised at an exciting stage of its development as it looks to enter new product markets.

A strong hands-on and experienced Financial Controller is now sought to strengthen the Management Team, reporting directly to the MD as well as dotted line dual reporting to their high calibre part-time (2-3 days/month) Consultant CFO who provides higher level strategic support to the Board.

The brief:

• Development of the Finance function, including management and coaching of a part-qualified accountant and 2 Accounts Assistants.
• Ensure robust financial transactions/reporting.
• Production of timely monthly management accounts with analysis/commentary, to present at monthly Board Meeting..
• Development of bottom up annual Budget and regular forecasting.
• Proactive support to Sales & Operations Managers. 
• Cashflow control, including forging a direct trusted relationship with the Bank.
• Year end accounts preparation with close liaison with the Auditors.
• Overall, to operate as a respected key member of the hands-on Management Team to ensure the ongoing successful operation and development of the business. 

My client seeks a Financial Controller (fully qualified or strong QBE's will be actively considered) with a stable, successful track record within a similar profit centre SME business who can demonstrate strong hands-on management of the overall Finance function as well as having the proactive style and approach to get fully involved in adding value across this commercial business environment.
