  • This role owns the Planning and Performance for the UK, consolidating financials, understanding key movement areas and insight, identifying and implement planning and performance software systems in support of the Finance Director.

Description


- Controlling and bringing together all aspects of financial and business performance.

- Being a key contact for day-to-day UK financial performance matters and responsible for all presentation preparation for the FD to senior stakeholders.

- Lead business performance review processes including preparing business presentations for CEO and CFO meticulous in visual output as well as the why, how and what story.

- Prepare and present regular performance updates to the UK board.

- Challenging financial performance and forecasts - "keeping the score".

- Responsible for the creation and submission of business investment projects and the financial tracking processes in the organisation for growth initiatives.

- Lead consistency in reporting, KPIs and financial analysis.

- Consolidation of the UK position.

- Preparing finance papers and supporting analysis to present to the UK Board

- Support the Business Development Director to shape market analytics, insight and key strategic drivers for the UK.

- Support strategic processes - Including market and acquisition strategies.

- Lead key financial strategic business processes such as the budget and 5-year plan.

- Reviewing business and finance processes to support the UK in driving finance operations and governance/control improvement.

Profile

  • Experienced and qualified finance professional.
  • Whilst the role is required to support the Planning and Performance activities the candidate must have broad experience across all financial management disciplines within a business of similar scale.
  • An astute business partner, with strong consulting and communication skills, together with experience of leading and providing finance support for strategic decision making and business development.
  • Interest and experience in building insightful and visual reporting.
  • Excellent presentation and reporting writing skills (Microsoft, Powerpoint, Word) - with the skill to extract key focus areas and clarity from large volumes of data.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills (principally Microsoft Excel and Cognos).
  • Good collaborative style with peers and colleagues from other functions with a hands on approach.
  • A commitment to high personal and professional standards.
  • Planning, problem solving, and decision making ability and the desire to look for new ways of doing things.
