Financial Accountant | Cheshire | 6 month FTC | Immediate Start | Up to £55k
Marks Sattin are delighted to be working with a leading engineering business who are looking for a talented Financial Accountant to join their team. This is a 6 month fixed term contract, that could potentially be extended or made permanent. The role is based in Cheshire and the client supports a hybrid working model.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely year-end financial statements for multiple legal entities, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Coordinate with various departments to gather financial data and supporting documentation required for the year-end accounts.
- Conduct thorough analysis and reconciliation of financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors in financial statements or records.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial accounting function.
- Provide financial advice and support to other departments or business units as needed.
About you
- ACA/ACCA/ACMA qualified Accountant.
- Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role, with a strong focus on producing year-end accounts.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and statutory requirements.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
