I have a brilliant opportunity for a Management Accountant to join a growing business based in Bedford. The position is a hybrid working model with two days at home.

The responsibilities for this role will be:

  • Take overall ownership of producing month end

management accounts & departmental P&L's.

  • Provide insightful commentary and analysis on variances to

budgets, prior month and prior year. Monitor KPI's,
highlighting trends and analysing causes of unexpected
variances and making recommendations for improvement,
where appropriate

  • Engage with departmental Heads & Directors to ensure

their respective P&L's are understood and correctly and
accurately presented. This will include ensuring that
operating costs are allocated correctly across departments

  • Ownership of the balance sheet reconciliation. Ensuring

that all accounts are reconciled monthly, differences are

  • understood, and clear actions plans to resolve are in place
  • Ensure SOX controls are managed and evidenced with

appropriate supporting documentation

  • Assist with the production of annual budgets and

supporting analytical analysis.

The ideal candidate will have at least tow years experience in a similar position and will studying toward their AAT, CIMA, ACCA or ACA.

My client offers a great working environment and is paying a salary of £28,000 - £38,000 dependant on experience.
