Our client is an international consulting group with 6 offices globally.  Due to growth and a planned systems upgrade there is a need for an experienced Group Financial Controller (newly created role) to support the CFO and oversee the finance function and day to day operations.  Key responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities

  • To lead and develop the Finance function (4 in the team)
  • Support the production of Management Accounts, Balance Sheet, EBITDA, Cash flow and key metrics (and consolidated)
  • To ensure that appropriate financial systems and internal controls are maintained across the group
  • To oversee all activities carried out by the financial accounting team
  • Support budgeting and project analysis
  • Compliance with all tax requirements, such as PAYE, VAT, Corporation Tax, R&D Tax.
  • Oversee timely annual audit, statutory account, consolidated accounts and tax computation preparation and submission, including liaison with the auditors.

 

Experience

  • You will be a qualified accountant – with prior experience as a controller
  • High EQ and able to work independently, as well as oversee a busy finance function
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident and well organised, with a focus on delivery
  • Ideally experience in a professional services company
  • Strong IT skills
  • Sage experience would be an advantage
