Deputy Finance Director

£75,000 to £95,000 plus Benefits

ABPM have been retained by this UK group of companies to make an appointment to this newly created role in this exciting consumer-focused business to support the Financer Director in the leadership of a significant finance function. This shall require strong leadership, accounting skills and the drive to immerse yourself in the business to learn what the outputs the department needs to support the wider company.

As Deputy Financer Director, you will support the day-to-day running of the lion share of the department, manage departmental heads and deliver against the agreed services expected by the group.

This role requires a resilient and diligent qualified accountant who can work efficiently and accurately in a demanding work environment who thrives on this and excels in communication and customer service.

An insight to your responsibilities:

• Ongoing development of the team, working across all functions and entities aligned to agreed metrics.
• Drive top quality customer service across all functions.
• Ensure compliance with legal and audit processes..
• Set objectives in line with department and business goals.
• Guide department heads and assist with the development of their teams.
• Provide additional support at peak periods and during absences.
• Ensure performance, data and compliance is in line with policies and procedures.
• Ad-hoc duties and projects as and when required.

We seek applicants who hold and have the knowledge and experience of:

• ACA / ACCA / ACMA.
• Led a significant finance function of scale.
• Enjoys mentoring and guiding colleagues to achieve higher levels of performance and adapt to change.
