Your new company
A well-known manufacturing SME based in Blackburn, who have been established for over 50 years are now looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Group Financial Accountant to join their team on a permanent and full-time basis. Now reporting a turnover of over £140million, this business is growing year-on-year and following a recent internal promotion, they are looking to hire their next finance team member.

Your new role
In your new role as Group Financial Accountant, you will report to an excellent Group FC and will assist in preparing and reviewing the financial accounts and controls from a methodical, statuary viewpoint. Your role will involve preparing the consolidated Group accounts, whilst supporting the maintenance of robust financial controls across the business. You will review said financial controls, investigating discrepancies and issues, whilst recommending improvements and monitoring any implementations. Alongside Group accounts, you will assist in the monthly statutory accounts preparation and liaise closely with auditors, to take full control of the year-end audit. This is a full time role, working from their Blackburn offices Monday to Friday.

What you\'ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will hold a full CIMA or ACCA qualification, with experience of working in a similar role previously. Ideally, you will be practice trained, with this role being your second move within the industry, however they are open to considering first-time movers and those trained within the industry. You will be able to demonstrate excellent technical ability, with strong accounting skills, knowledge and an incredible attention to detail. Experience of working on SAP is highly advantageous, but experience of other ERP systems is also beneficial. You will have advanced Excel skills, with a minimum requirement of vlookups, pivot tables and SUMIFs.
What you\'ll get in return
In return for this, you will be offered a generous and competitive package along with the opportunity to work with a forward thinking and ambitious senior management team, who are constantly looking for ways to improve and expand the business. Your package will include:

  • Salary up to £60,000
  • Enhanced holidays of a total of 33 per year
  • Access to an employee assistance programme with a range of benefits
  • Onsite parking
  • Excellent amenities
