Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading and well-established Manufacturing Group in Leominster, Herefordshire to recruit for a dynamic and hands-on Finance Business Partner. An interesting and permanent accounting role, providing timely and meaningful analysis to assist with key business decisions, working with a range of key stakeholders around the Group to add value via the provision of financial information. This permanent Finance role will offer remote/office hybrid working and an opportunity to join a successful group with future career prospects. Open to part-qualified/qualified or qualified by experience finance professionals looking to add value. The client will consider finance professionals with relevant business partnering experience, but also Management Accountants looking to make a move into a business partnering focused role.

Your new role

Your key duties will include working with key stakeholders to provide timely and accurate information to assist with key decision making, maintaining accurate and meaningful forecasts for all technical cost centres. Preparing month end accruals based on information from cost centre holders, forecasts and invoices parked. Preparing overhead information for budget holders, preparing/posting any accruals, developing financial reports, sales reporting including weekly sales/order intakes, monthly sales, and cost of sales reconciliations, along with variance analysis. You will build relationships with budget holders, challenge key stakeholders on ways of working with the aim of improving margins, and hold regular review meetings to review financial information. You will be involved in monthly GRNI clearing, month-end submissions including accounts receivable analysis, performing checks/approving payments runs, journal posting for internal/external audit and various ad-hoc analysis/projects for senior management.

What you'll need to succeed


To be considered for this permanent Finance Business Partner role you will need experience within a similar position, ideally part-qualified/qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or qualified by experience, with strong MS excel skills, key communication skills to partner both with non-finance and financial management, along with excellent organisational skills. You will have strong commercial awareness, an analytical and hands-on approach, with key process improvement skills. You will be trained in a range of financial systems and be a quick learner who can work comfortably within a team environment, but also using your own initiative. Experience with SAP and within the Manufacturing sector would be advantageous but not essential.
