Our client, leaders in their field are looking for a controls specialist to join their finance team for a 6-month contract. The role will work closely with process owners and stakeholders to develop and document financial process and controls which meet the Group standards. It will focus on developments being managed by a project to integrate a business divisions application into the ERP and financial applications of the group.

Responsibilities including:

  • Analyse finance processes and identifying key risks and controls or control gaps contributing to design discussions as required,
  • Communicate and influence acceptance of financial controls which meet Group Finance requirements
  • Develop process and control documentation meeting Group standards working with process owners, stakeholders, technical and design teams
  • Contribute to development of appropriate process testing programmes to ensure controls are designed and operate effectively
  • Analyse and conclude on testing activities with respect to effectiveness of controls.

Candidates will ideally be fully qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) although candidates who are qualified by experience will also be considered. Proven experience within a financial controls environment or Internal Audit is required for the role.
