Your new company
A high-end Interior Design and Architecture studio based in Central London is currently hiring a Financial Controller to join their small but successful firm in a key role for the business. With international projects, the studio has a longstanding reputation for delivering exceptional client projects.
Your new role
You will be leading the day to day running of the finance department with the support of a finance assistant. This will be a busy and hands-on role and will involve areas such as:
- Reporting to and partnering with the MD on all aspects of finance
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Cashflow management
- Reviewing department and project profitability and providing the MD with management information
- Processing payroll, pension schemes and staff benefits
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Monthly management accounts
- Working closely with external auditors on statutory accounts filling
- HR and office management

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a Qualified or Qualified by experience Accountant, ideally with experience in Interior Design or Architect firms. Candidates who have experience managing projects in other sectors would also be considered. This is a wide-ranging role, so you will be comfortable in supporting all areas of the business as well as confident in dealing with senior stakeholders both internally and externally. Experience of Xero would be advantageous but not essential.
