Finance Business Partner

Hays are delighted to partner with this not for profit organisation in Birmingham who are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your new role This is a crucial role, where you will act as a true Finance Business Partner, working closely with different business units across the organisation to make informed business decisions.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Preparing regular, timely and accurate financial management information, which includes; budgets, forecast, cost centre reports, analysis and commentaries to both financial and non-financial professionals
• Produce monthly management accounts for trading, ensuring the prepayments, accruals and income are accurately imported, calculated and posted
• Ensuring all balance sheets are accurate and reconciled
• Leading the annual budget setting process, alongside operational managers
• Maintain stock records and calculate cost of sales in compliance with SORP
• Challenge appropriately to ensure the best organisational outcomes
• Organise and control stocktake procedures

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you will:

• A Qualified Accountant with significant experience in a finance business partnering role, ideally within retail accounting and experience of stock accounting and control
• Experience of developing and monitoring an annual budget
• Experience of revising and developing processes, procedures and policies to drive organisational performance
• Excellent influencing skills
• The ability to build effective working relationships
