Purchase Ledger - Part Time - 30 hours per week

Your new role
Working within a small team of this well established manufacturing business, this part-time finance role will predominantly focused on Purchase Ledger functions. This will account for around 70-80 % of your time. Duties to include :

• Taking ownership of the Purchase Ledger, ensuring accurate and timely accounting, using a system of checks and reconciliations.
• Process supplier invoices and credit notes to the accounting system.
• Making supplier payments according to terms and conditions and company policy.
• Ensuring supplier discounts are well managed
• Responding to supplier queries.
• Maintaining a tidy ledger.
• Working as a team player within the accounts department, adherence to deadlines and supporting the month-end process.
• Reconciliation of supplier statements.
• Daily cash flow update & posting to SAGE
• Preparing financial analysis reports
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Working on monthly payroll
• Supporting with annual audit
• General administrative duties supporting the Management Accountant

What you'll need to succeed

• Ideally Fully AAT qualified / qualified by experience
• Prior experience in other aspects of the finance function

What you'll get in return

Salary of £28k Full time equivalent
