The Head of Finance is responsible for championing continuous improvement of financial management across Alexandra Palace. The post holder will be responsible for providing strategic and operational financial advice alongside leading and developing the Finance team.

To provide strategic and operational advice to the Director of Finance and Resources to ensure that the effective use of funds aligns with our priorities, vision and 10-year plan.

Key duties will include:

  • Develop the annual budget strategy and targets with the Director of Finance and Resources.
  • Provide an expert, long term view on all areas of finance, including financial planning, forecasting and analysis ensuring the Executive Team are kept informed around trends and ongoing performance.
  • Support with the development of the organisation’s financial strategy to support the overall Vision and 10 year plan.
  • Provide Leadership and direction to the finance team ensuring it is well resourced and is able to maintain strong effective relationships across the organisation.
  • To undertake any other duties as required, consistent with the basic objectives and/or duties of the post.

You will:

  • Be a qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a similar finance role at a senior level.
  • A strong background in financial management in a complex and dynamic organisation.
  • High level of organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This is a full time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £70,000 pa.
