Take this fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic trust as their new Chief Financial Officer. Middlesex Learning Partnership is a trust of primary and secondary schools based in West London. This role offers the successful candidate a unique opportunity to shape the future of the Trust’s finance function.
The Role:
The successful candidate will have significant scope to assess and implement the most appropriate financial systems, controls and processes for the trust. As a key member of the Trust’s Executive Team, you will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and senior leaders to develop and implement a financial growth strategy.
Your Responsibilities:
As Chief Financial Officer, ensuring alignment with priorities, strategic goals and best use of the trust’s funds will be key.
- Making appropriate financial governance and risk management arrangements
- Ensuring budgets are prepared and monitored
- Guaranteeing that annual accounts are delivered in accordance with the Academy Trust Handbook, European Food Safety Authority guidelines and all relevant statutory requirements
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders, including headteachers, trustees and governors
- Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, ensuring that all team members have opportunity for development
About You:
- Candidates who are fully qualified (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Associate Chartered Accountant) with the ability to demonstrate significant education finance experience are encouraged to apply.
- Highly personable, professional and an emotionally intelligent leader
- Sound financial insight and clear reporting skills
- Candidates already undertaking a similar finance role within the sector are desirable
