Finance Analyst

Marks Sattin are working in exclusive partnership with a rapidly expanding, private equity backed group based in West Oxfordshire to recruit a Financial Analyst on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role that would suit a studying (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) accountant with exposure to financial analysis, data manipulation, reporting and the desire to business partner.

The Financial Analyst role will be paying between £35,000 and £40,000 per annum, 2 days in the office/3 from home.

The Financial Analyst Role

An exciting role which will blend your existing financial analysis skill set with the business partnering of a business unit, an opportunity to be involved in an expanding, fast paced business with future acquisitions on the horizon.

You will work closely with the existing Finance Business Partners and Head of Finance to drive performance and aid decision making.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support month end (accruals, prepayments, revenue recognition)
  • Prepare financial reports and aid in production of management information packs
  • Provide analysis and evidence based insights to aid decision making
  • Highlight cost saving opportunities via expense and cost analysis
  • Variance analysis monitoring performance versus budget
  • Business partner with 1 business unit yourself alongside analytical support to others

Key Skills and Experience

  • Studying towards ACCA/ACA/CIMA
  • Desire to deliver best processes and offer areas for improvement
  • Ability to communicate with finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Intermediate Excel (pivot tables, V-lookups etc.)
  • Strong systems skills and ability to manipulate data/reporting
