Marks Sattin are working in exclusive partnership with a rapidly expanding, private equity backed group based in West Oxfordshire to recruit a Finance Business Partner on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role that would suit a finalist/recently qualified accountant with previous exposure to business partnering with non-finance stakeholders. You will be actively involved with decision making, cost areas and driving financial performance.
The Finance Business Partner role will be paying between £50,000 and £55,000 per annum, 2 days in the office/3 from home.
The Finance Business Partner Role
You will prove support to a handful of business units within the group, each with its own needs, strengths and opportunities. Collaborating with the central finance team and the management teams within each business, you will aid decision making, drive performance, manage adherence to budget, suggest cost management areas and much more to increase profitability and outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure correct cost and revenue allocation alongside revenue recognition for projects
- Provide financial insight in relation to project performance and overall business performance
- Drive performance in line with set KPI's and interrogate opportunity areas
- Preparation of fortnightly forecasts including risk and opportunities
- Analysis of CAPEX requests
- Provide support and information for bids and tenders
- Promote a best in class finance function and process improvement
Key Skills and Experience
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified (finalist considered)
- Clear business partnering experience influencing decision makers
- Ability to communicate with finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Intermediate Excel (pivot tables, V-lookups etc.)
- Strong systems skills and ability to manipulate data/reporting
