A well-established and growing company based in Milton Keynes, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join their finance team. This hybrid role offers the perfect balance of office-based and remote working, making it ideal for a part-qualified accountant looking to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and regular forecasts, providing financial insights to support business decisions.
- Supervise and mentor junior finance team members, ensuring high standards of work and professional development.
- Conduct variance analysis, identifying key trends and areas of concern, and providing actionable recommendations.
- Manage the month-end close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
- Identify and implement improvements in financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry changes.
Key Requirements:
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), actively working towards full qualification.
- Will have supervisory experience leading a small to medium team.
- Proven experience in a finance or management accounting role, ideally within a medium to large organization.
- Strong proficiency in financial software and Excel, with experience in financial modeling and analysis.
- Experience in supervising or mentoring junior team members is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
