Position Overview:

As the Finance Director, you have a crucial role in managing and overseeing all financial and IT aspects of the group's operations. Reporting to the Managing Director you will collaborate with the executive team and key stakeholders to develop and implement financial strategies that support our long-term growth and sustainability objectives.
The jobholder will be expected to occasionally travel internationally as required participating in meetings and corporate events with customers, suppliers, partners and advisors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Planning and Strategy:
Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's vision.
Prepare accurate, insightful and timely management information and financial reports for management, shareholders, and external stakeholders.
Lead the budget and forecasting processes and reporting.
Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth.
Be a constructive, challenging, proactive business partner to the executive team, particularly the Managing Director

Financial Management:
Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company.
Implement and maintain appropriate financial controls and risk management procedures.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.

Cash Flow Management:
Monitor and manage cash flow to maintain liquidity and optimise working capital.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance cash flow and manage financial risks.



Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance and mentorship.
Continue to drive a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the finance department and across the business

IT
Develop and maintain the procedures so that IT projects are properly scoped, resourced and implemented.

Relationship Management:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the executive team and department heads, to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Build and maintain positive relationships with external partners, such as banks, auditors, and tax advisors.

Qualifications:
Probably a degree and professional qualification (e., ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
Experience working within international businesses would be beneficial.
Demonstrated ability to work in multi-discipline teams.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities. A good sense of humour is also key
