As an accountant your role will be to assist in continuous improvements to support better decision-making within the school environment. To be successful in this role, you must:
- Be a qualified accountant (ACCA or ACA) with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience.
- Have a sound knowledge of accounting standards and proven experience in financial reporting and in the preparation of management accounts, forecasts and statutory accounts.
- Relevant experience working with VAT and able to explain complex VAT concepts to both Finance and non-Finance colleagues.
- Ability to understand, interpret and communicate financial data at all levels of an organisation.
- A passion for working in an education setting and commitment to our purpose and vision of a school in the independent school sector.
- Someone who sees finance as an enabler and can think creatively and innovatively to progress our most important outcomes for the community we serve.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a clear focus on customer service and an ability to inspire confidence to aid senior management in making financial decision making.
Above all, you must want the best for our pupils. In return, we offer a positive working environment, supportive colleagues, and regular professional development and training opportunities.
